(Kickstarter) Monte Cook's "No Thank You, Evil!"

As a man with two young girls with the usual wild imaginations and an interest in young ladies running games, new kid-friendly RPGs interest me.  It did come as a bit of a surprise that Monte Cook of all people, is planning a May Kickstarter for his kid's game No Thank You, Evil!

Per the ICv2 article:

No Thank You, Evil! will be a boxed set game, based on the Cypher System used in Monte Cook’s Numenara and The Strange RPGs. The game is intended for families with children from ages 5 and up, and features a tiered ruleset that allows players to add complexity as the children grow older. The design intent is to allow older children as young as 11 or 12 take over as gamemaster after playing just a few games.

The box set includes oversized character sheets, tokens, and cards to allow a less math-intensive game.

My favorite part?  It's designed for one hour sessions, something that the Dungeons & Ponies experiment failed at.

Of course, I somehow completely missed Eden Studious Adventure MAXIMUS! kid game released last year. I hope No Thank You, Evil! is a little less card intensive and allows for more shiny counters.  Kids looooove counters.
