Firelock Games is expanding their Blood & Plunder rules and minis into the 18th Century with a Kickstarter, Blood & Plunder: Raise the Black.
The campaign includes options for the Raise the Black expansion rules, unit cards, and a Box of Plunder (which expands as the Kickstarter grows), but the main focus looks to new 2-Player Starter Set.
The 18th Century line will use hard multi-part plastic kits for figures and for the ships, creating more options.
To be honest, I still haven't jumped onto the original rules, but I've come to appreciate high quality boxed sets of plastic figs to be an acceptable price point. We'll see where I am at the beginning of October.
