Teaching Ferrets to Yodel: Teaching Wargames to Non-Gamers

It's tryouts this week for the local rec league I'm Vice-President of, so I missed one of the more anticipated presentations by the Georgetown University Wargaming Society:  Teaching Ferrets to Yodel: Teaching Wargames to Non-Gamers.

Luckily, GUWS has a Youtube channel, and are quite prompt in unloading them:

I greatly enjoyed this take on wargaming for non-gamers, especially the amusing fact that the non-gamers the presenter teaches are US Army officers. Even more amusing, they use Root, the fantasy game with cute little animals, as the introduction to wargaming.

There was some great advice provided (some that we already use in the Gnome Wars/HMGS Next Gen games), but plenty of ideas that I will consider applying
