The Historicon 2022 PEL is Up!!!

Historicon 2022 will be held July 20-24, 2022 at the Lancaster County Convention Center, in beautiful, scenic downtown Lancaster, Pennylvania.  The Preliminary Events List (PEL) for the convention has been posted, and is currently available online.

As with most HMGS cons, I'll post all the cool games I found in the PEL.  Items labelled in Red are events I'm either running, assisting with, or participating in.

The only event I'll leave out of chronological order is the HMGS Membershp Meeting.  Let's get an early quorum and cruise through the minutes.

Will their last stand succeed, or will foreign troops step upon American soil for the first time in over a century? Rules will be taught, and all are welcome.

A Fun fast paced with simple one-page rules and plenty of BIG 54mm figures to move around the table. Description: The disastrous 1914 Battles of the Frontier during the opening moves of the Great War resulted in defeats for the Allied French and British armies. Both Allied armies conducted a bloody retreat to the gates of Paris when they were faced with an opportunity for decisive counterattack into a gap in the German lines. The Germans stubbornly tried to inflict punishing blows on the French before abandoning the Schlieffen Plan for good. French General Gallieni famously reinforced his lines with units brought up by taxi. The German 1st Army is going for broke to keep victory from slipping away.

Children are welcome, but will have a problem figuring out the advanced puzzles/clues without an adult. The approach to Clues is very similar to those used in Escape Rooms plus others.
