Fall-In! PEL is Up and ViscountEric WAS Not Amused

After a short delay and great anticipation, the Fall-In! 2018 Preliminary Event Listing (PEL) is available here.

So first, the bad news.... upon the infinite wisdom of the events team and breaking with 25+ years of tradition when submitting events.

Like the paper form I filled out for my first game circa 1991, the online form gives a spot for Primary Day and an adjacent spot for Primary Time.  Below that is Alternative Day and Alternative Time.  In years of running works, working cons, and managing events for cons, the days and times are concrete for Primary and Alternative.  They are not interchangeable, unless one of the Alternative spots is left blank.  Then one could safely assume that if Alternative Day is blank and Friday 2pm is my Primary, the 5pm listed under Alternative time.

This is what I submitted:
That's Saturday 10am (since I have to leave by 3pm that day)  OR Friday 3pm.

This is what appears in the PEL
S: 509: 15 - The Burning of Mautonu - Theme
Saturday, 3:00 PM, 3hrs, Players: 6 GM: Eric Jacobson, Sponsor: none Period: Colonial, Scale: 28mm, Rules: Contemptible Little Armies
American Marines have landed on Samoa to try and keep the peace in the capital while a civil war rages across the rest of the islands. After a few difficult encounters while venturing out into the countryside, they are given orders to seize the small village of Mautonu. The overland march has been easy for once, far too easy.

So, there's a reason why I don't usually write full-blown tirades... because things aren't usually as bad as they seem.

Upon submitting at email to the Events Coordinator, I got a prompt, nearly immediate response back.

a) The event was listed incorrectly in the PEL.  It shall be corrected ASAP.
b) My event was always listed in the master schedule (with table assignments, etc) for Saturday 10am

Somebody goofed, I caught it, it was corrected accordingly.  Something in the world works like it should.  Thank God!

So here's my full event info:

Thanks to Bill White for being professional and awesome! And on with the show!

Like always, I list the "ViscountEric Interested" events, so if you're into Ancients, the Civil War, or WW2, you probably won't find many of those events here, regardless of how good they are.
