(Review) Gone Gaming. Brodheadsville, PA

Over a year ago I stopped by Gone Gaming in its original location outside of Stroudsburg.  In that time the store moved down US 209 into the Brodheadsville/Effort area.

Location: Anything was an improvement over the back basement entrance of a used car lot, but the new location is pretty solid. This section US 209 is six miles away from the old store and seems to have better traffic than the “Business” 209 section running parallel to the modern highway.

Parking is still a bit of an issue, with a small restaurant (pierogies!) and an ice cream stand sharing the lot.

Cleanliness: Second location means my base standards of cleanliness go up a bit. With over 20 people in the midst of the Magic Pre-Release Tournament, the store was immaculate.

CCGS: Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Cardfight Vanguard remain the big reason why they’re in business. Cases full of singles were well-lit and well arranged.

RPGs: There was a small shelf of some of the latest D&D 5e books, that’s it, but they did have the special do cover of the new Saltmarsh book, which is something other FLGS’s have not had.

Miniatures: They’ve officially bit the Games Workshop bug, with a decent selection of models and a small rack of paints.

Amenities:  Gaming areas had new/clean tables for at least 30.  Snacks and drinks.  The miscellaneous wall of action figures and other curiosities is still there, but more reasonably priced for non-collectors.
It's amazing what a few LEDs and dice tubes in a display can do to attract you over to that spot.
Events:  All CCGs, according their Facebook page.  Relatively low point of entry into them with good prize support.  Perhaps, more importantly, none of the current participants were acting like jerks.

Staff: The woman behind the counter was incredibly pleasant, quick to welcome myself and the girls, and did a very nice explanation/soft sell about the Magic Pre-Release and what products were available.

There's definite progress from my last visit, but also a lot more room for slow and steady improvement.  Gaming with the Gnomies gives Gone Gaming three and a half gnomes out of five.
Definitely a place to visit if you are a CCG player, check out their Facebook page for anything board, RPG, or Minis related.

Gone Gaming is located at 2095 Route 209, Brodheadsville Pennsylvania.
