(Star Wars d6) #85 - Back to Naboo

The Crew of the Pretio in This Week's Episode

Ne'vets Aharo - an exotic animal broker, both legal and otherwise, majority owner in the Pretio.

Duk'k - Sipsk'ud Bounty Hunter, recently rescued by the crew. Offering his services in order to get off this barely existing hunk of mud. His warning shots are dead center mass kill shots.

"Sid" - A peculiar woman who has shown to be a better pilot than the previous one. Possible Imperial ties, but a far better shot.

Latorna Savvn - Rebellion pilot and saboteur, trying to lay low from the Empire after a series and destructive attacks.

Evus - Twi'lek male, former slave, then former associate of Ne'vets, who has found his way back to the Pretio but caught back up in the nonsense of the Pretio

Travel By Galactic Map
Having successfully delivered illegal substances
To the palace of Jabba the Hutt, the
Crew of the Pretio are officially in a status
Where they don't have a true plan.

Old options are discussed, leads retraced,
And a few harrowing experiences
Await the crew....

Landing on Naboo, Ne'vets though long and hard about the path the crew needed to take to enter the capital.  It hadn't been THAT long from their run-ins with the Black Sun, so it was imperative to avoid the controlled neighborhoods.

Paying the menial tip bounty reward, they discovered the detailed lead was, in fact, the activities of the other crew members after the firefight.   Tarrie's last known location was around the bar area of the Spyder gambling den.

Latorna was dejected by the poor lead... and the whole bounty process, but the crew had other issues.

The next lead on their Imperial Science Corps job was also on Naboo.  However, Lt. Ferni Meavo was not in the Naboo capital, rather out in the distant highlands.

Meavo was a busy woman, the only Science Corps member on planet, working on thirty-year old pollution remediation efforts from the Battle of Naboo.  She had little time for small talk, or divulging any Imperial secrets of any sort.  Befriending the ridiculously backward highland Gungans was paramount to saving their lives from poisoning (and eventual sterility).

The Gungans were quite shy of outsiders, and the crew roaring in with the Piscopo ruined years of relationship-building.

The only chance they had with remediation with the tribe, and to get in the good graces of Meavo, Ne'vets was willing to perform the coming of age ritual of the Gungan tribe, which entailed breaking and riding a Kaadu.

Ne'vets was suprisingly adept at breaking and riding the wild Kaadu for an extended distance.  Everyone was shocked by his competence, no one more so than Ne'vets.

Definitely NOT Ne'vets Aharo riding a Kaadu

For the second time in his career, Ne'vets was a member of an alien tribe.  The tribe relaxed and celebrated Ne'vets' accomplishments.  Lt Meavo's water remediation was no where near finished, but at least it was back on track.

Before the crew was ready to head back to civilization, Meavo took Ne'vets aside for a few moments.  He loaded up in the Piscopo, and was eerily quiet until they safely arrived back at the starport and the Pretio was out of the atmosphere.

Sid asked, "Where is our course for, Mister Aharo?"

Ne'vets chuckled to himself, and stared over to Evus. "Just our Karkin' luck. We're going back to Botajef... "

Latorna could only give a worrisome side-glance.
