(MtG) Old School Kird Ape with Some More Modern Flair

One of my most popular "random" posts was just me waxing nostalgic for my old Type I Kird Ape deck for Magic: the Gathering.

I've made mention before that I can waste some time playing the online Magic: The Gathering Arena.  It's free to play, I enjoy some the gimmicky gamification that doesn't cost money and I can see some fun theme deck evolving with the new sets without dropping stupid money on packs.  My green Treefolk deck and green/white "Entrification of the Shire" decks don't always win, but they make me happy.

I also play on the "Historic Ranked" division, which is usually more competitive and allows a far wider inventory of cards.

Venerated Rotpriest - replacing Nafs Asps - If I make any changes, this is it.  The Naf's ability to force a player who was damaged to use a early round mana to avoid an additional point of damage was always minimal but distracting to a players surprised to see.

Ruby, Daring Tracker:  This seems like it would be a nice add-on to my mana-production 1/2 Haste for two, and I can cast this turn two and still bolt something.  With the insta-buffs in the deck, I'd need to telegraph my moves to get the attacking bonus, and it's been a wash in more modern play.

Rotisserie Elemental:  There are a lot annoying low-cost creatures, but the Rotisserie Elemental is heavy use is a pushpin covered in tetanus, rabies, and the Ebola, hiding in your opponent's carpet while he's barefoot.   The Menace allows and early boost to sneak through without defenders, when drawing blood is crucial, and if the usually ineffective juggernauts get taken out, the card drawing ability would allow me to cast even the highest costing spells early on.

I'm not seeing any lands that will help me, and at best, I'm looking some low cost green combo artifact/enchantment removal.
