With Halloween chaos, I've avoided my local Dollar Tree. I have been completely immersed with Bill Making Stuff, so when I had an opportunity this weekend, I got in the store with a different plot or other items.
That all flew out the window when I turned the corner and the full Christmas display was finally set up.
The trees remain a solid buy year over year, and the variety of colors make the Christmas game properly colorful. The carolers, benches and Santa can always find use, although I'm wondering just how many gingerbread trains they anticipate everyone needing.I didn't grab a trailer, but I did grab a Christmas tree truck. I may have a perfect old-fashioned 54mm machine gun to turn it into a Gnome Tactical.
The most intriguing part of the day was a quick perusal at CVS. In the Halloween discount section there was "Halloween DIY Beads Set" with nine different types of beads in handy pumpkin storage case. I can certainly find different uses for them, and at 50% off (and using my ex-wife's rewards), it was $2.00 for 950 pieces. Not a bad investment, even if I rarely use them.
