Gnomes Destroyed in Nazi Vandal Attack at Keilor

A GNOME village created by Keilor locals has been destroyed by vandals who spray-painted Nazi emblems, leaving a community shattered.

The gnome family is located at the Keilor Park Drive freeway exit and was created by locals for a “bit of fun” for families and kids in the community.
But on Monday, the gnome community discovered the village was destroyed by vandals and took to social media to vent their frustration.
One of the creators of the Gnome Village Facebook page posted this message earlier today.
“Hello Village People, as you have now probably seen/read, major damage had been done by some ignorant, silly, moronic vandals.
“This will be a big job to clean up, so if you have a few minutes, please take the time to collect a bag of our departed little people.”
 
Dani Glavz expressed how devastated her children will be.
“To think that some heartless person found it “fun” to destroy it all … well what goes around comes around,” she said.

Alana Lennz said she could not believe that “some low lives” could do this.

“I work very close by and all my clients always say how awesome gnome village is,” Ms Lennz said.
“It’s so sad. Hopefully the community can get gnome village rebuilt in no time.”
But good Samaritans from the area have suggested a gnome-donation fund to help rebuild the colourful village.
Annita Sordelli said the gnome family used to make her smile whenever she drove past and suggested a donation to help clean-up and rebuild.
“Let’s not let these unhappy people destroy gnome village.”

A few quick thoughts.

A) First they came for the Garden Gnomes, and I did not speak out— Because I did not like Garden Gnomes.   Then they came for the Pink Flamingos, and I did not speak out—
Because I did not link Pink Flamingos, etc...

B) I hate Australian Nazis almost as much as Illinois Nazis.

The good news is the community has come together to not only clean up the remnants of the gnome village, but have begun rebuilding it.  Here's hoping they catch the creeps who did this.

Might be time for some gratuitous gnome ambushing Nazis action on the tabletop.
