Sword in the Stone Announces a Joint Project for Hazleton

It came with big surprise last week when Sword in the Stone Games in the Wyoming Valley Mall announced plans for a new location 25 miles south, in the Laurel Mall in Hazleton for September of this year.

There is a local comic/game store down there of some sort, but I’ve always had difficulty even trying to find it much less get there for the appropriate hours. Hazelton a fairly large city that needs a gaming presence, because I believe the next store south on I-81 might be a roundabout trip to the The Alchemist's Cove in Orwigsburg.

And it seems like the chain model of game stores seems to be the way to go, in this economy, with the ways the "industry" is going.   Cloud City Games in the Lehigh Valley just opened a fourth location in Kutztown that I need to get down to to review.

The bigger news that comes attached with that is they are doing it as a joint venture with White Knight's Game Room in Williamsport. I haven’t been able to do formal review of White Knight's, but I have actively been a fan of theirs for the last 20+ years and while I couldn't confirm deep pockets to help with this project, they definitely add very deep resources to the endeavor.
