Almost a decade ago at a job I barely remember, I got into a random conversation with a co-worker about Cthulhu and Lovecraft. The next day she dropped off a copy of The Great Old Ones by Darkest of the Hillside Thickets on my desk. I've been hooked ever since.
Darkest of the Hillside Thickets is the type of "punk" I want in my Cthulhu-punk, so I will be donating to their Indiegogo campaign to fund their fifth album, The Dukes of Alhazred. Hopefully they'll reach their stretch goals to get the actual CDs pressed.
Yes, I know a nostalgic concept. Go out, listen to them, then pledge to the Indiegogo, dagnabbit!
