Stonegate Forge, founded by the founding owner of Ral Partha (and current co-owner of Iron Wind), announced the launch of the Kickstarter for Picnic Panic: The Game of Ant Warfare and Candy Pillaging.
This wargame pits 2 to 4 players as different ant factions, fighting each other over their respective candy stashes. In true family fun wargame fashion, the victor literally takes the spoils, be it actually candy, snacks, or in the case of wrapping up a late night gaming session, perhaps a few adult beverages.
The biggest pro of all: the game comes with 41 one-inch metal miniatures. Less than a dollar a figure if you pledge for the basic set with US Shipping. Sure, some are slightly anthropomorphic, but with a number of fantasy modules covering ants acting as people (plus Judges Guild's "Revenge of the Ant God,") there are plenty of uses for them.
