I expected this week to paint up a few random pieces so I can post my pre-hiatus Project:350 numbers before #RPGaDay blows up.
Yeah, change of plans.
The Gnome King himself, Jim Stanton will NOT be attending Historicon, so it's been upon the laps of myself and fellow Stout Gnome Mike Lung to pick up the slack and run Gnome Wars and the Joust.
I'll be running Thursday night's Gnome Wars game, the Joust on Friday night, and the final Gnome Wars game Saturday night. This week I've tried to touch up and finish as much as I can, thinking I didn't have enough for my games. I've pulled some reserves from other players, but I realized after finishing up everything late Thursday night.... I wisely set the pre-reg for players to only eight, with as many bring-and-play players that can show up. Now I have a few "fun" armies to place on the board on a whim.
I found more Tan Sikhs in the buildings behind the picture. |
The motely assembly of figures in the front center of the picture? Yessiree, they're the League of Gnomes.
In the Queue: The painting bench goes quiet for a bit, as I pack up the armies, the terrain, ...all the buildings, and survive Historicon!
ViscountEric, the Gainfully Employed: It's ironic that my time unemployed was unproductive for painting, but as soon as I signed my offer letter for my new job, I've doubled my painting output for the year! I've finally left nearly 20 years of health care/insurance related work for direct commercial sales. One week in, and it's a blast!
Project 350: The project grinds to a halt for #RPGaDay at 506 (327/179) from 507 (327/180). Throwing in 33 posts for #RPGaDay at various stages makes things screwy for true progress.
