HMGS Next Gen at Historicon

The eternally greying hobby which is historical wargaming, and by extension, HMGS, has finally discovered social media.

The HMGS Social Media Director was in their "Instagram Era" for Historicon.  The number of pictures, posts, and topics covering a wide of swath of the convention was quite prolific.

While John Spiess' Castle Siege and Cog Wars games caught their attention, I'll point out that the beloved Next Gen "Gnomes and More" table was right next to him

Of course, I might focus on the far table a big more.

Thursday's Gnome Wars Trench Game (19 of 16 slots filled - 119%)

A rare appearance of the "Gnome King" Jim Stanton as a measly player.

Friday - Fistful of Lead - Galactic Heroes - The Defense of Carf  (17 of 16 slots filled - 106%)

And our Saturday Gnome War/Fistful of Gnome games centered around the village of Santa Poco
(18 of 16 - 113%)

HMGS President Jon Lundberg was a true mensch helping with, but also having a great time with the kids. He did all that, and technically had the most victory points (and not off the kids either!)

The table events for Maja and myself generated 56 players out of 48 available player slots (117%)

Then throw in the two gnome mega-games (26 players out of 20 slots 130%)

And then combine the two jousts  (34 out of 25 - 136%)

That's 116 players (125% table capacity and 297 player-hours for an honest calculation).

Not too shabby.
