Yesterday it was one of my days to transport the kids to and fro afterschool, but first was another long range mission for uniform-compliant undergarments. Tonight is Maja's first time to sit on the Varsity bench in full uniform, warm-ups and all. Maja's team plays in a tournament Friday and Saturday, and although she might be deep in the depth chart, a blowout might make her one of the first outside the normal rotation to see some minutes Exciting times....
I needed to run up beyond Scranton for a specific red undershirt for underneath her uniform, luckily Millie has had me order the same brand (and drive further for it), so it was a few clicks and an in-store pick-up.
The biggest boon of the drive was surprisingly light traffic, even around the mall. The second biggest boon was remembering that there was a Books-A-Million right around.
Now, I didn't buy anything, but I finally found a shelf that screams "Random Relative Buying D&D Gift for Person."
Maybe I've been suffering from too much sticker shock at the grocery store and pharmacies, but the idea of $15 for D&D socks and $30 for a Dragon Dice Storage Box (not specifically for the Dragon Dice game), for gifts isn't unreasonable. Personally, I'd recommend going to your local tobacco/smoke shop and see what price they're putting on wood cigar boxes, but the items at BAM! seem like the low-end of the new norm.
