Those Germans know a thing or two...
Not only did they run a successful Kickstarter for the German translation of 1889, AND released supplements for it, but now a group has started a KS for the Space 1889 - The Secret of Phobos movie.
I have to admit, I like the idea of all practical effects (no-CGI). With mediocre acting and "nostalgic" special effects, this would be far better than, say, John Carter, and I was one of the handful who was amused by that movie.
So long as this gets funded and The Terminizer (A short film about a killer robot driving instructor who travels back in time for some reason. His best friend is a talking pie.) doesn't, there may be hope in the world.

Thank's for linking that. Big fan of Space 1889,
ReplyDeleteI actually really enjoyed John Carter, but Frank Chadwick's Universe really hit's the spot with me (although I only managed to RPG a few meagre sessions years ago!).
