Fable Paths is a fantasy heartbreaker right drawing inspiration right from the early days of white box D&D.
Loosely built around the Original Edition of the role-playing game created by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, Fabled Paths was designed to capture the nostalgic ideal many of us carry for classic tabletop RPGs. That ideal, married with modern sensibilities, presents itself as a lite sandbox for running solo characters and small groups through underground and overland adventures.
A ten dollar PDF for the three booklets and handouts sounds like a fun steal. The $38 print run of the products makes me flinch, but it's within the realm of acceptable printing costs in the 2020's.
