Janine's daddy owns the mall, and even he was shocked that his little girl wanted a job... in mall security no less.
In her shopping days, she's witnessed a number of shoplifters caught at the jewelry stores. The attempted theft was always a low-end piece, but the store manager and employees create so much drama, not only is every security guard called to respond, but the store staff completely ignores the rest of the store. Right around that time, the manger turns off the recording to hand security the tape. With the right distraction, someone could easily slide in and steal a large quantity of high end jewelry... without detection.
