In what seems to be an eternity ago, Keith "Doc" Herber and Tom Lynch created Miskatonic River Press (MRP). For its relatively short existence, it produced some phenomenal material, including the much lauded New Tales of the Miskatonic Valley.
With the death of Herber, MRP was effectively shuttered and the books went out of print, their futures forever sleeping.
But recently a company purchased the four titles from Tom Lynch: New Tales, More Adventures in Arkham Country, Our Ladies of Sorrow, and Tales of the Sleepless City.
New Tales of the Miskatonic Valley 2nd Edition has now been launched on Kickstarter by that company.
The good news/bad news: That company was Stygian Fox.
The games Stygian Fox produces are phenomenal. Recently, though, they've had a problem delivering their product. So the promise for an extra scenario for New Tales, an extra 30 pages to the book, and have it full color art with a delivery date of January 2019? I admit it gives me pause.
Might have to pencil me in for the pdf through DriveThruRPG.
