We're getting pretty close to GenCon again, and the latest issue of Game Trade Magazine with the summer solicitations is chock full of questionable decisions. So many games, so many fly-by-night game creators. So much stuff that, even with two page articles describing some of this stuff, they're questionable consumer purchases, much less the store owner or manager whose deciding whether or not to stock in in the first place.
Truth be told, there's a LOT of stuff I left out under "The Imaginary Store List" that might suit your own personal tastes. Check out Issue #304 of Game Trade Magazine your FLGS or online in pdf form here, and place a pre-order through you preferred ordering method.

It's been awhile since the Dead Milkmen penned "Lair of the Bitchin' Chimera" so I'm surprised the next RPG from a band is a 90's noir urban fantasy. How do you get a wary player or game shop owner, for that matter, order a boxed set? The three part story with 60 hours of gameplay adds value to something that might otherwise be an impulse buy or curiosity. Getting your group together to play this (or anything, for that matter)? That's entirely up to you.

As an imaginary store owner, I think I'm well past my limit for pondering Leviathian for retail sales. I'd love to see some for of retail support for a minis game about space capital ship warfare, where they funded on Kickstarter with less than 300 players, and where each ship is at least fifty bucks. Just for the items solicited this month, it's more than a $1,000 wholesale if you simply order one of each! At least it's not the multiple scales of Dystopian Wars
