Had to take some time off for some inevitable paperwork, so I made a few fun stops along the way.
I was disappointed that there still wasn't anything new and exciting at Dollar Tree, although the Beach/Summer Themed Gnome homes from their Fairy Garden line showed up on the shelves.
Michael's is in that odd space of graduation season, and the Summer not filling up all of the Easter shelves. I had $10 in rewards so I filled up on clearance craft paint at $0.25-$0.50 for small bottles to $3.00 for big one. Their brush selection was worthless, and I couldn't even get 2" wooden discs. I settled for two new brushes and a pile of paint for $4.22.
So I swallowed my pride and went to Hobby Lobby. So much stuff, so many clueless people wandering the store like crafting zombies. I could only find my wooden discs in an overpriced assortment pack, but they did have the spotter brushes I like to use and abuse, and two bucks cheaper than Michael's to boot!
The real impulse buy was as I was wrapping up my workday and checked eBay on a whim (and to clean off my search results). Lo' and behold, there was 1 results under my saved search for "Scrunts"
I now am the proud owner of nine Bob Olley Texan Scrunts:
There's a lot on my plate to finish for Historicon, but like the Brigade Games order that created the Episcopalian Medical Melita for Gnome Wars, these guys need to get bumped to the front of the line for our western board Saturday morning and afternoon.
