RAFM Miniatures Closes

On Tuesday RAFM Miniatures announced that they had shuttered operations.  Physical operations had already been cleaned out, only a scant handful of digital properties were left on the website.

I believe tariffs were just the final nudge to get them over the line.  I was a bit shocked to see they were still doing Kickstarters, their last successful one fulfilled just this past October. While new product was being released,  and they attempted a club membership, a la Old Glory, it's sad to say the old ways of running a miniatures business aren't a ticking time bomb, rather simply time running out.

Perusing the spinner racks at the FLGS as a kid, RAFM was only ahead of Ral Partha alphabetically.  They were THE company for the licensed Call of Cthulhu minis, hell I was even the winner of one one of their online promotions.   They cast many of the figures for Legions of Steel and other company's lines, and they maintained their historical lines when many just discontinued.  I would like to see where the moulds for some of the lines will end up.

Father Dagon, a stretch goal from the CoC Minis Kickstarter, keeps me company at my work desk all day.
