There was a time where I thought Wars of Ozz was going to be my second fantasy wargame behind Gnome Wars, or at least assimilate some of the figures into the game. Alas, the difference in scale proved just difficult enough, but I did pick up some individual figures when I had the chance.

Here was a preview of two new special characters for the Wars of Ozz game.
Call it my own personal holiday blues, but somehow I missed The War to Save Yule, a supplement and campaign guide for Wars of Ozz. Available at Old Glory and Sally 4th websites, it is a free campaign introducing two more factions, the Army of the Ice Queen and the Army of Yule.
The Army of the Ice Queen is Ice Trolls, a Krampus, and other nasty sorts.
As much as I love Wizard of Oz setting and the Wars of Ozz game, I haven't done much work on either.
So it's only right and fitting to give props to someone who is!
Quantrill's Toy Soldiers has a refreshing take on an Ozz project, all in a much more fun 1/32 scale.
The thing I love the most, besides the gratuitous gnome shots? Repurposing figures they already own to achieve all these cool units. My lead(plastic) pile is big enough already, so to reuse minis for a different game is certainly inspiring.

It's quite impressive how much support is coming out for the Wars of Ozz miniature game. Finally houses that I don't have to cobble together from the dollar store!
