Another Month of Gaming (Sep '21)

Alright, true believers, it's time for the true GenCon releases (GenCon is still slated for September 16-19 as of this writing).  I figure everything in last month (the "usual" month for GenCon) were folks still plotting out traditional release schedules, while this month are all the people squeezing things into distributors at the last second... as well as the long-term players already plotting out Christmas sales.

Issue #259 of Game Trade Magazine can be found at your FLGS and in pdf form here.

ViscountEric's Must-Have Want List
Nothing

ViscountEric's Money-Is-No-Object Want List
Very sad that during a month where many of these items might be released AT GENCON, that really nothing strikes my fancy, not even the Wizkids Efreet (see below).  I stand by the words I first uttered  on this blog on October 7, 2010 - "I'm not the demographic."

The Imaginary Store List (The Pegleg Gnome)
Ares Games
303 Squadron ................................................................... $79.90
303 Squadron: Brothers in Arms ..................................... $21.90
303 Squadron: Convoy .................................................... $23.90
303 Squadron Artbook ..................................................... $19.90
Mini Rogue ...................................................................... $24.90
Mini Rogue: Depths of Damnation .................................  $14.50
Mini Rogue: Glittering Treasure ..................................... $12.00
War of the Ring: The Fate of Erebor ............................... $ 9.90

The Army Painter
Air Mega Set ............................................. $180.00
Air Starter Set ............................................ $ 39.99
Air, as in Air Brushing Paints

Bandai
Digimon TCG: Next Adventure Boosters
Dragon Ball Super TCG: Unison Warrior Set 7 Boosters

Black Site Studios
Don't Look Back ........................................ $59.99

Cubicle 7
Warhammer Fantasy RPG: Soulbound - Shadows in the Mist.................. $49.99
Warhammer Fantasy RPG: Ubersreik Adventures II ................................ $39.99

Evil Hat Productions
Fate Core RPG: Fate Accessibility Toolkit HC ......................................... $15.00

Goodman Games
Judges Guild Deluxe Collector's Edition Vol 2 ........................................ $150.00

Hit Point Press
Griffon's Saddlebag (5e) Book One ...................................... $49.99
Humblewood (5e) Box Set .................................................... $79.99
Humblewood (5e) Campaign Setting Book .......................... $49.99
While I find the Hit Point Press RPG books intriguing enough to list on a store pre-order list, the companies bread and butter are various decks for spells, magic items, encounters, etc., all in the $21.99 dollar range.  Sticking by my observation that gamers love these decks, but only love to one or two, I'd like to know what decks would sell the best to offset the initial cost of 27 of these separate decks.  Getting one of each and getting two or three consistent sellers while the others gather dust is a crap shoot at best. Plus the mini sets are pretty blase for figures this old guy might label as "edgy".

Konami Digital Entertainment
Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG: Burst of Destiny Boosters.

Leitman Games
Questlings RPG ................................................................. $19.99
In Questlings RPG, players will play as two characters: one as your kid form and one as the Inner Hero your child aspires to be! The game guides players through a map accompanied by a storybook to give them a framwork for roleplaying and building a story together, making it easy for players new to RPGs and new GMs to run a game as well!

Nerdy Pup Games
Dungeon Date ................................................................... $29.95

Paizo Publishing
Pathfinder RPG: AP - Strength of Thousands P5 - Doorway of the Red Star ........... $24.99
Pathfinder RPG: Alchemy Deck .......................................... $22.99
Yes, I have the same contempt for the RPG decks from Paizo than the 3rd party ones I mentioned before.  The big difference comes down to one word:  Pathfinder.
Pathfinder RPG: Flip  Mat - Ghost Towns .......................... $14.99
Pathfinder RPG: Flip Tiles - Dungeon Crypts Expansion ... $19.99
Starfinder RPG: Flip - Mat - Lava World ............................ $14.99
Starfinder RPG: Galactic Magic HC .................................... $39.99

Pegasus Spiele
Port Royal Big Box ............................................ $24.95

Steve Jackson Games
Dice Bag: Munchkin Pathfinder ......................... $12.95
Munchkin Farkle ................................................. $24.95

Wizards of the Coast
Magic: The Gathering CCG - Innistrad - Midnight Hunt
Bundles, Boosters (Collector, Draft, Theme, and Set) and Commander Decks

Wizkids
DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince: Summertime ............................ $19.99
This item looks soooo bad, but appeals to me in the worst way.  No want list, but getting a copy or two for the imaginary store.
Dungeon Scrawlers - Heroes of Undermountain .............................. $24.99
Efreeti Premium Statue ..................................................................... $249.99
Githyanki Premium Statue ................................................................ $249.99
Statues from the classic AD&D covers.  It's been a long time since I purchased a statue.  I guess this is a reasonable price range (no complaint from me on this one, now get off my lawn!)
Wand of Orcus Life-Sized Artifact ................................................... $149.99
D&D Fantasy Miniatures: Icons of the Realms: Curse of Strahd ............. $39.99 each
Denziens of Barovia, Denizens of Castle Ravenloft
D&D Fantasy Miniatures: Icons of the Realms:  Saltmarsh ..................... $39.99 each
Box Sets 1 & 2
