There's been plenty of ZineQuest projects that I've ignored, whether I have doubts about the campaign, or a disinterest in the material.
I'm obligated to mention, Tales of the Glass Gnomes by Roby Provost Blanchard. There have been plenty of gnome games on Kicstarter that I fail to mention, but this is the first 'zine that I've seen. Plus the it's the author's first Kickstarter, and their Canadian, so they need all the help they can get. Any worse and they're American!
From the Kickstarter:Tales of the Glass Gnomes is a journey inside the mythical mineshaft of the Glass Gnomes, a recluse community of glassblowers hidden in the desert. Presented as a lore zine / journal, the publication contains the story of this unique gnome society, many drawings and descriptions of their inventions, an insider's look of their mine and even a few of their secret glass formulas. All of this seen through the joyful perspective of the famous bard Nolet Coudfoudre.
Tales of the Glass Gnomes is a guide for storytellers who want to include this peculiar community in their existing TTRPG game, make an exciting one-shot inspired by the mine's events or include a quest to retrieve a long lost artifact of the forgotten race. This being said, anyone who enjoys reading fantasy short stories, D&D / TTRPG books, myths, esoteric or alchemical volumes should enjoy it, I'm quite sure.
This zine is written with a world building focus first and game compatibility second. The publication itself isn't tied to any TTRPG system, but aims to be compatible with OSR, 5E and Troika through stretch goals.
CA$6 for digital, CA$12 for print + digital, and a whopping CA$15 for the deluxe version with a 16"x20" adventure map (pdf included).
