Few people know of the lands across the Senzar Sea, even fewer know that the major empires have each established its eastern shore.  Most of these folks acknowledge that Wyrmnalian explorers set foot on these lands first, nearly 200 years ago.

What the fewest number of people know is that the Hibernians settled these new lands 100 years prior... on a separate continent over 2,000 miles south of these other colonies.  These lost travelers immediately lost contact, but quickly met the Amazons, a fierce women-dominant warrior culture, one which a person of discerning knowledge could see older Senzaran, Kufrik, and Hellene cultural traits.

Conla is a 12th generation Amazon with Hibernian stock.  With the Empires continuing to send explorers, despite the tendency of the Amazons to kills them all.  It was decided that a special diplomatic missions would be sent to each of the known Empires to establish relations.  The expedition to Kufrik was long, but plentiful.  The mission to a hostile Senzar was unsuccessful, and their  groups to Khemet and Alexandria have not returned after years.  Now it is time to reach out to the one empire all know about, the mighty, but distant Hibernian Empire.  Of course Conla volunteered to be the envoys personal guard, but no one will be quite prepared, IF they make it, to discover the legendary Hibernians are under the rule of the grandson of Arthur the Great... and not too happy about it, either.

When Hackmaster was my game of choice, there was a general effect during character creation that was a long-play, but akin to Dungeon Crawl Classics' funnel.  Even with Building Point re-rolls and the guiding hand of the Game Master, some characters were either complete train wrecks, or too "normal."  Most of the members on the "Journey of Mutumbo" were quite ordinary, which made sense once a TPK happened.  When the next wave were created and we started what was The Burning Trogs Rule! happened, we did have a few extraordinary individuals, similar to Conla, to alleviate the burden.  It also helped that the GM didn't send Swack-Iron Dragons at them at every opportunity.  Honestly, she's the most kick-ass Hackmaster 4th Edition character I've rolled up, and with some luck, then experience, might join up with some semblance of the Trogs in my dream campaign (The Preludes, not the actual eight episodes, those were a minor nightmare).

And to just clarify my own questions, the Amazons are actually in the South American continent, based off  of the Epic of Aerth from Dangerous Journeys, they just aren't anywhere near the actual Amazon River.
