(Space Scoundrels) Jhorka - #charactercreationchallenge - Day 7

This completes a week of the #charactercreationchallenge , and I'm finally moving out of my comfort zone and into RPGs I haven't played yet.

Space Scoundrels RPG is a beer-and-pretzels space RPG from the genius mind of Thom Wilson.  I backed a physical copy of the game through Kickstarter, and for a 36-page digest size book, it's chock full of everything you need to play with zero unnecessary fluff.

I realized I wanted to stat out something other than a beginning player, one of the minis I painted to flesh my Gnomish Space Marine campaign.  So here's the quite experience, Jhorka the Pelegian Sapper

Jhorka is available at Gydran Studios

Jhorka - Pelegian Sapper

Maximum Health Points:   8                  Maximum Adrenaline:   2
Notoriety:  At least 500

Techno Babble: 0
Fix it Up:          4  (1d6)
Whip it Up:       3  (1d6)
Rev it Up:          8 (2d4)
Patch 'em Up:    9  (1d10)

Rough and Tumble: ✔✔
Shoot 'em Down:    20   (2d10)
Smack 'em Around:  7   (2d4)

Snatch and Swindle: 0
Fool 'em Good:        6    (1d8)
Rob 'em Blind:        5     (1d8)

The Works: ✔
Jack of All Trades:   8     (2d4)

Equipment:  Blaster Rifle, Blaster Energy Cell (x3), Energy Grenade (x6), Energy Mine (2), Med Pack, Door Access Kit, Full Energy Armor.

Jhorka is worth 80 points (Max health + Max Adrenaline + all the first numbers under the skills).  A starting character would only have 22 total points to spend.  He's also maxed out on equipment, as an experienced character would.  A starting character rolling max credits might be able to scrounge up a blaster, some cheap plastic armor, and maybe a medkit.

The second number past the skills are the dice rolled to complete a skill.  As additional pips are earned, the skill dice improve based on the progression below.

Finally, the underline headers are special points earned when someone adds a pip to a skill.  These represents one-time re-rolls.

Two things I didn't really calculate were Jhorka's notoriety (it should probably be higher) and if he had a ship.  A medium size civilian craft with weapons, shields, and jump capability ends up the hundreds of thousands of credits  Definitely worth the time to calculate if I were to use him in a game.
